The CEO of Poco, Himanshu Tandon, announced on Twitter that the Poco F5 will soon be launched in India. However, the exact launch date has not been revealed yet. The Poco F5 will be the first phone to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, which is a mid-range processor launched in March 2023.
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is a toned-down version of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The CEO of Poco India claims that the Poco F5 will offer powerful performance, but its actual performance will only be known after it has been reviewed. The previous Poco F4 5G had a Snapdragon 870 CPU and was launched in India last year.
The Poco F5 is expected to have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is expected to run on the latest Android 13 OS and have a triple-camera setup, including a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel sensor, and a 2-megapixel camera. The front camera is expected to be a 16-megapixel sensor. The phone is also expected to support 67W fast charging technology and have a 5,000mAh battery.
More details about the Poco F5 are expected to be revealed as the launch event approaches. The phone is expected to be priced similarly to the Poco F4 at around Rs 27,999.
